It’s been a while since I’ve played any real-time strategy (RTS) games. They once were the only games I ever played. From Warcraft through Warcraft 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3 and even the first installment of Starcraft 2. There’s plenty of others mixed in there as well such as Command and Conquer, Warzone 2100 along with Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Dune 2.

End of The Church and most of The Town in the Death Toll campaign on L4D2. The floods of zombies overtook us shortly before reaching the end.

Dedicated Server Even if I'm Solo

Being a full time computer geek is extremely handy while also being a gamer. One of the nifty things with many modern games is the ability to setup a dedicated server so anyone (or just friends) can play, regardless of who’s online. I don’t only use this for multiplayer though. If a game has the ability to be hosted on a dedicated server, I do it, even if I’m playing alone.

Why? Pretty simple really. Most games have 2 basic things:
