The first 4 episodes (not including the Borderlands 2 prologue) are complete and released! This first set is all in the Southern Shelf area of Pandora and starts with some meaningful introductions to Borderlands 2. Obviously this includes primitive mechanics, I get an ECHO communicator (basically the H.U.D.), and some very basic storyline.
Last night's live session of Left 4 Dead 2 was a slight breath of fresh air. Unfortunately though, we were down a member of our regular L4D2 team. The Nick and I, decided to run without any mutations starting from the first campaign, Dead Center. Really, it was I who decided. I'm pretty sure I didn't give The Nick a chance to voice his opinion before hitting, "Start Game."
A couple weeks ago, Firefly Online stated that they're looking for beta testers. The way to apply was to write a letter (email) with a few requirements, send it in, and hope for the best. I did just that and since, have not heard anything about the recruiting. Considering the fan base, I'm sure they've got a lot to sift through. I haven't posted anything for a couple weeks here.
As old as it may be, Unreal Tournament 3 is still a hell of a great game. At face value it seems like a very typical shooter (and in many ways it can be). However, it has some nice differences to the standard shooter in their game modes. I have completed my "Let's Play Unreal Tournament 3 Campaign" series and feel it deserves a sort of summary. Here's the entire Let's Play UT3 Campaign Playlist.
In doing research in the field of streaming live game broadcast video, I attempted to find what is the best service to use. After several days worth of reading forums, blogs and reddit posts, I found that while most people flock to Twitch, there's a ton of people who don't prefer their streaming service (and this was before confirmation of Google buying Twitch). That leaves a lot of potential viewers out.
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is a Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game where players (human and computer or A.I. controlled) must use 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate) strategies to become the dominant empire. Night Vallin of The Beard Gaming wanted to have more than 2 human players. He asked if I liked strategy games such as SoaSE. I answered, "Hell yes!" and went into a long-winded list of RTS games I loved playing over more than a decade.
Bastion was an amazing game; everything about Bastion was beautimous! Especially when you consider that I haven't been a huge fan of modern "platformer" style games in several years, there's a lot of weight in my saying it's amazing! I'm a gamer, through and through. Every aspect of most games is extremely important -- not just special effects and general gameplay mechanics.

Otherwise, let's break a few things down for a complete Bastion game review:
