SoaSE with The Beard [Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion]

Diplomatic Defeat - Just a nice way of saying, "You quitter!"
Micromanaging a battle for my fleet to focus fire on one target at a time; queuing up the targets so I don't have to wait for each one to be destroyed.
In the Pirate screen, we can see and anonymously place bounties on empires.
Pretty large scale battle in an integral gravity well without a colonizable planet. I attempted to fortify it with a Starbase.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is a Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game where players (human and computer or A.I. controlled) must use 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate) strategies to become the dominant empire. Night Vallin of The Beard Gaming wanted to have more than 2 human players. He asked if I liked strategy games such as SoaSE. I answered, "Hell yes!" and went into a long-winded list of RTS games I loved playing over more than a decade. He interrupted that with Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion as a gift via Steam. I was more excited than a fan girl at a Bieber concert.

Silemess and Night Vallin, like me, hadn't played much in the RTS genre of games at this point. That was part of the rules. None of us practiced or became familiar with the game. I owned a boxed copy of the original SoaSE many moons before. Another rule was no leaking of video or possible tactical/strategic details to make sure that all of us were not only close to the same level of play but, also didn't accidentally give out any weaknesses mid-game.

Over the course of about a week or two, we gained nearly 7 hours of video, about 6.5 hours of pure game time. I've learned a lot in video production and how to use SoaSE's built in systems for better footage, angles and other coverage details such as simultaneous events. However, that's recent knowledge so for this first game of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, I decided to keep it simple. I split this up into 3 videos:

Basically a few minutes of just a couple select clips that I found entertaining and memorable.

Night Vallin and I are put in our place at Silemess's success. Details, stats and strategies are discussed here.

Full Game

No, this is not the full 6.5-7 hours of game. Well, it is but at 5.3x speed. In order to make up for the lost audio, enjoy some fast paced hardstyle techno.
